This washed Bourbon from Mahembe in Rwanda's Nyamasheke region comes from Justin, who returned to his local area after time away to establish a wet mill on his father's coffee plantation. Beyond his own 8-hectare farm, he sources cherries from neighboring smallholders in this high-altitude area where more farmers are venturing into cultivation at these elevations. The cup delivers red grapes, almond milk and cookies with a distinctive character that sets it apart from other Rwandan coffees.
