This Costa Rican coffee from Aquiares Estate comes from a family-run farm where Alfonso Robelo pioneered a program enabling workers to own homes and land, creating a thriving community of nearly 2000 people now managed by his son Diego. The washed process involves mechanical washing followed by careful drying in a Guardiola dryer, yielding a medium roast with notes of dark chocolate, raspberry, and caramel. Aquiares is committed to carbon neutrality, measuring emissions against offsets while maintaining protected biological corridors for local wildlife.
