This washed microlot comes from woman producer Merly Leon's 12-hectare farm La Palta in Callayuq, Peru, situated at 2,250 meters above sea level where abundant sunshine and cool temperatures create ideal conditions for specialty coffee. The lot undergoes an extended 48-hour anaerobic fermentation before washing, a process that contributes to its distinctive cup character of apricot, raspberry, and cola notes.
