Hand-picked on the volcanic slopes of Rwanda's Gakenke district at 1760 meters, this washed Arabica Bourbon from the Abakundakawa washing station offers a balanced cup with sweetness, floral touches, and fruity aromas. Espresso reveals almond and prune notes while filter extraction brings forward apricot and milk chocolate flavors. The cooperative supports two women's associations that operate a sewing workshop, providing community members with income independent of coffee farming and strengthening economic resilience through education and mutual support.
