Lalesa Washed
Roaster notes
This washed coffee from the Lalesa washing station in Gedeb, southern Ethiopia's high plateaus, grows naturally under shade among large enset trees. Selected from neighboring smallholder farmers through direct relationships, the cherries are floated to remove defects then dried on African beds for 12-15 days before being hand-sorted by local women. The cup reveals black tea and bergamot with peach tarte tatin and caramel notes alongside floral hints, offering a juicy body and medium acidity.
