Ruronzi Anaerobic
Roaster notes
This limited edition coffee comes from Uzziel Habimana's personal farm Ruronzi in Twumba, Karongi, Rwanda—a small five-hectare plot where he implements the processing methods he teaches to farmers across the country. The Red Bourbon variety undergoes 120 hours of anaerobic fermentation before slow drying on raised beds, creating a cup with prominent sour cherry and pineapple flavors accompanied by rum-like notes. The result is an anaerobic natural with juicy body, lively acidity, and a long clean finish that showcases what's possible under Rwandan conditions.
