This coffee comes from the Gichuka Coffee Factory, operated by the Kimaratia Farmer Cooperative Society in Kiambu County, Kenya. The region's bright red soils and high altitude of 1800-1850 meters create ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation. After pulping and overnight fermentation to break down mucilage, beans are washed through water channels and sun-dried on raised beds until reaching optimal moisture content. The cup delivers vibrant blackcurrant and cranberry notes characteristic of this Kenyan origin.
