From Finca El Refugio in La Plata, Huila, this Gesha comes from David Ruben Gomez's four-hectare farm where he has been producing coffee for more than 20 years. In the cup, chamomile florals open gently, followed by ripe apricot, juicy tangerine and delicate stone fruit sweetness with a honey-like quality that carries through to a long finish. The coffee was hand-picked at peak ripeness, dry fermented for 30 hours before slow drying on raised beds.
