This washed coffee from Ethiopia's Guji region comes from Sasaba, a washing station founded by Tsegay Hagos Tesfaye in the fertile Kercha district. The station processes cherries from over 500 smallholder farmers working high-altitude plots around the 2000-meter mark, where Gedeo and Guji families have grown coffee for generations on hillsides shaded by forest trees and enset plants. After careful selection and fermentation, this lot delivers a classic Guji expression with intense apricot notes alongside sweet floral tones reminiscent of milky oolong and fig leaves.
