Colombia, Villa Betulia Gesha
Roaster notes
This washed Gesha from Villa Betulia in Huila, Colombia was grown by Luis Anibal Calderon using an extended fermentation process—dry aerobic for 24 hours followed by 50 hours in Grainpro bags before being pulped and gently washed. The cup delivers the classic varietal character of floral jasmine and lemongrass, complemented by juicy red grape and peach flavors with stone fruit undertones. Luis planted 5,000 Gesha trees in 2012, and after three years of waiting for fruit, his first successful harvest earned substantial premiums that made his farm finally sustainable.
