This AA Top grade coffee comes from the Gichataini washing station in Nyeri district's western Mathira area on Kenya's slopes. Hand-picked cherries are washed and sun-dried on African drying beds, grown at 1600-1900 meters altitude on red volcanic soil by smallholder farmers. The cup reveals blackberry and caramel notes with a touch of raspberry, offering medium body and fruity character from this high-altitude Kenyan lot.
