Hacienda La Esmeralda, operated by the Peterson family in Panama, is world-renowned for revealing the exceptional potential of the Geisha variety and becoming an indispensable reference in specialty coffee. In 2004, this farm first presented a 100% Geisha coffee in the Best of Panama competition, winning with floral aromas and vibrancy close to Ethiopian profiles. The estate continues its legacy at the 2025 Best of Panama, securing three main categories including a historic 98-point score in washed Geisha.
