South Sudan only exported coffee for the first time in 2015, after years of conflict left much of its coffee sector abandoned and knowledge lost. This single-origin lot from Nzara and Yambio County comes through new initiatives rebuilding livelihoods with over 1,000 smallholder farmers returning to the land. The anaerobic-processed Excelsa variety delivers a distinctive cup with notes of cereal, malt, and burnt sugar.
