Guatemala San Lorenzo
Roaster notes
Luis "Wicho" Valdés is a third-generation coffee producer from Alta Verapaz who studied agricultural engineering while learning cultivation techniques from his family. His plantations sit between 1,400 and 1,500 meters altitude in Cobán, where he grows coffee on terraces to manage heavy rains and protect the soil, enriching it with organic coffee pulp and vermicompost. Los Volcanes Coffee processes this lot using both patio drying and mechanical dryers—a dual approach essential for navigating Cobán's constantly humid climate—resulting in a cup of milk chocolate, yellow fruits, and caramel.
