Classic: India Monsooned Malabar
Roaster notes
This India Monsooned Malabar from Aspinwall hails from plantations across Chikmaglur, Mysore & Coorg on India's southern coast. The unwashed Arabica beans undergo a traditional 'monsooning' process for 2-3 months in ventilated warehouses along the Malabar coast, where tropical monsoon winds transform their character—a method originally developed when beans were shipped to Europe by sailing vessel in the 18th century. The result is a coffee with a creamy mellow body, abundant spicy aromas, and notably low acidity.
