A Wild Forest Coffee project by longtime partner Ernesto Menéndez, inspired by how coffee was originally found in Yemen and Ethiopia. SL28 trees are spread throughout the forest to grow as wild as possible without interfering with nature—no chemicals applied, letting nature create the character and strength of the coffee. Nearly 70 years ago, SL28 seeds were brought from Kenya to El Salvador on a hunting trip; these adapted seedlings now hold their trademark cooling finish and lime notes. Ernesto has won the Cup of Excellence several times, and this Las Brumas coffee has previously won the World Barista Championship.
