This exceptional coffee comes from Alo Village in Bensa, Sidama, where producer Tamiru Tadesse and his wife Messi founded Alo Coffee with a vision to challenge systems that undervalue quality farmers. Their pioneering zero-fermentation washed process immediately washes de-pulped cherries using mechanical equipment, skipping traditional fermentation to preserve the clarity of the cup and purity of terroir. The parchment is carefully dried over 12 days on African beds, turned hourly for uniform drying while protected from harsh midday sun, allowing flavors to stabilize before milling and export.
