This India Monsooned Malabar tells a story of happy accident: centuries ago, coffee beans transported in open sailing ships from India to Europe underwent transformation through months of exposure to varying climates, creating a unique flavor that delighted drinkers despite being an unintended result. Today, the process is intentional—dry-processed beans are deliberately exposed to monsoon rain and wind for two months before hand-selection and shipment. The resulting cup offers chocolatey-caramel flavors with a slightly full body and excellent crema.
