Rwanda Nyamasheke Karengera Washed

This washed coffee comes from the Western Province of Rwanda, specifically from the Nyamasheke District where it is produced by 1,020 small-holding farmers at the Karengera CWS. Grown on volcanic soil at altitudes between 1,600 and 1,850 meters above sea level, this lot delivers a tea-like cup with notes of raspberry, pink lemonade/grapefruit and a sweet brown sugar finish. The coffee is wet-milled using a Mackinon disc pulper, then dried on raised beds using natural sun-drying over 12-14 days to preserve its clean character.
