The Finca El Pezote farm takes its name from a small protected animal that once lived there, nestled around La Palma in Chalatenango at 1,850 meters elevation. This high-altitude microclimate creates ideal conditions for specialty coffee, with cold, cloudy weather allowing cherries to ripen slowly and be hand-picked in three passes for peak maturity. The resulting cup offers exotic fruits, caramel sweetness, and jasmine aromatics—a true expression of this 2024 Cup of Excellence lot's unique terroir.
