Finca El Pezote Cup of Excellence No.12
Roaster notes
Finca El Pezote takes its name from a small animal called "Pezote" or "Mishasho" that once lived on the farm. Situated around La Palma in Chalatenango at 1,850 meters elevation, this high-altitude microclimate with cold, cloudy conditions creates ideal growing conditions and causes late cherry ripening. Producer Hugo Pineda achieved specialty coffee through research and learning from experienced farmers rather than traditional knowledge, resulting in a lot that placed 12th in the 2024 El Salvador Cup of Excellence competition.
