This auction lot comes from Finca Sophia, an exceptional estate nestled in the mountains near Nueva Suiza in Volcán, Panama. Founded in 2008 by Willem Boot alongside Helen Russell and David Pohl, this high-altitude farm sits adjacent to La Amistad International Park, where biodiversity buffer zones allow local wildlife to coexist naturally with coffee cultivation. Under Kelly Hartmann's direction, Finca Sophia has established itself as a global reference for specialty coffee, with its Geishas regularly distinguished at the Best of Panama competition.
