This coffee hails from Nuevo Oriente, one of Guatemala's lesser-known districts far east toward the Honduras border, where production began in earnest during the 1950s. The region remains characterized by small family-run farms growing coffee alongside corn and vegetables for personal use, with metamorphic mineral-rich soil and a cool humid climate allowing cherries to mature slowly. The cup delivers an incredibly fruity character with fine sweetness that balances the aromas into a rich mouthfeel, offering notes of mango, pecan nut, pear, and caramel.
