Suukala
Roaster notes
Suukala — meaning "sweet on the palate" in the local language — is a washed coffee from the Cauca region of Colombia, where it grows at elevations between 1,800 and 2,050 meters. This lot comes from the Caficauca cooperative, which brings together smallholder farmers cultivating Castillo and Caturra varieties on fertile volcanic soils. The cup reveals dried prunes and candied citrus upfront, a rich dark chocolate body, and a lingering roasted hazelnut finish — a warm, enveloping coffee that reflects both the terroir and the resilience of its producers.
