Fazenda Matao-Brazil
Roaster notes
Fazenda Matão is a specialty coffee farm located in the Mococa region of São Paulo, Brazil, one of the country’s renowned coffee-growing areas. Situated between 790 and 940 meters above sea level, the farm provides ideal conditions for growing high-quality Arabica coffee with distinctive flavour characteristics. Part of Marco Antonio Guardabaxo’s family estate, Fazenda Matão has a history of coffee production dating back to the 1960s. Today, Marco and farm manager Marciano de Jesus continue to focus on producing high-quality specialty coffee through careful farming practices, sustainability and continuous improvement. The farm combines modern techniques with respect for nature and the local community. Efficient water management, protection of native vegetation and fair working conditions are part of Fazenda Matão’s commitment to responsible coffee production. This coffee is sourced through Ocafi, a Brazilian coffee company that works closely with producers to improve quality, transparency and sustainability throughout the coffee supply chain. We roast to highlight the unique characteristics of this Brazilian coffee. Our goal is to preserve the flavours created at origin and bring out the best qualities of every bean.
